Fragments

Fragments is a narrative web series which follows the lives and inner minds of eight teenagers living in Canberra. Each of the eight episodes focuses on a particular character and explores exactly what they are going through, whether it’s struggling with their mental health, perfectionism or body image.

I directed the Picture Perfect episode of Fragments which follows thirteen-year-old Reena as she transforms into her online alter ego to escape the negative feelings she has about her body image.

Canberra Short Film Festival

Six of the eight Fragments episodes had their debut at the Canberra Short Film Festival 2022. Picture Perfect had its first live screening on 12 November 2022 at Smith’s Alternative.

Launch screening

The Fragments series had its first screening as a whole series on 23 February 2023 at the National Film and Sound Archive.
